Download the Visual Studio bootstrapper file. To do so, click the following button, select the edition of Visual Studio 2017 that you want, click Save, and then click Open folder.

If this is your first time launching VS Installer, we'll ask you to acknowledge the Microsoft License Terms and the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Click Continue.

Execute a lightweight and fast installation with only the tools you need. Customize your installation by selecting the workload(s) you want. Click Install.



What should I install?

Select additional components to install in the Individual components tab.



Install Visual Studio in a language of your choosing in the Language packs tab.



Change the installation location (new in 15.7) in the Installation locations tab.

Click the Launch button to get started developing with Visual Studio.
